SHAWNA CLEVELAND JOINS SPOONER HEALTH TEAM AS DIRECTOR OF INFUSION SERVICES

Spooner Health is excited to share that Shawna Cleveland joined the Spooner Health team as Director of Infusion Services in early August.

Shawna earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in 1999. Her career began at Spooner Health back in 2000, making her return a true full-circle moment. For the past 25 years, Shawna worked at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake, formerly known as Lakeview Medical Center. During her time there, she provided care in the dialysis department before transitioning to oncology/hematology, where she spent the past 15 years.

“I am excited to return to Spooner Health and serve the community where I live and have deep personal connections,” shared Shawna. “I am passionate about supporting our patients and creating an environment where staff feel valued and empowered to provide exceptional patient care. The Infusion Center provides patients with access to high-quality, compassionate treatment close to home, allowing them to receive care while remaining near their family and support system. Spooner Health’s strong culture of teamwork and commitment to excellence make it a wonderful place to grow and lead.”

Shawna brings extensive clinical expertise in oncology and hematology care and holds an Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN®) credential. In addition to her strong clinical background, she brings valuable leadership experience, having served in team leadership and management roles.

“Having Shawna back at Spooner Health has been fantastic,” said Clint Miller, Chief Nursing Officer at Spooner Health. “I had the pleasure of working with her when she began her career here years ago. Her reputation, work ethic, and values make her a natural fit for this leadership role, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside her once again.”

When reflecting on her first two months back at Spooner Health, Shawna shared, “From day one, I have felt welcomed and supported. The commitment of our leaders to both staff and patients has made this transition a rewarding experience.”

Please join Spooner Health in welcoming Shawna back to the organization.
