Patient Story: A Neighborly Approach to Surgical Care

When Chad Daniels met Dr. Mofle, he knew instantly that he was in capable hands.

“When I first met him, I thought to myself – this guy knows what he’s doing,” said Chad.
“He reassured me that it was a simple procedure and that we would get the problem taken care of.”

The problem at hand was Chad’s gallbladder urgently needed to be removed. His stomach issues that he had been having for a while were now emergent. When Travis, the RN on duty in the Emergency Department walked in the room, Chad was happy to see a familiar face.

“I know most of the nurses at Spooner Health, as well as Mike, the CEO,” said Chad.
“It’s nice to know the people that are going to be taking care of you. One of my friends is a provider here and she has spoken highly of Dr. Mofle, so I knew I would be well cared for.”

Chad shared that the whole surgery team was fantastic. From the nurses providing exceptional care to Connor, Director of Anesthesia, making him feel at ease with his down-to-earth personality and ability to bring a little humor into the room, everyone knew their role and helped him get through the procedure.
The simple 45-minute procedure took a little longer than expected when Dr. Mofle found that Chad’s gallbladder had severe scar tissue due to infection, but the surgery was a success, allowing Chad to return to normal life with his family with much less stomach pain. When asked if he had a message to share with Dr. Mofle, Chad said,

“Thanks for everything. I feel like I’m starting to see you a lot lately, but it has been fun getting to know you. I really trust you and highly recommend anyone needing surgery to come to you.”
