NEW PowerUP Voice & Movement Group

SPOONER, WI (March 6, 2017)—Spooner Health therapists are launching a new PowerUP Voice & Movement group. This will be an exercise group for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders.

The purpose of the group is to help individuals maintain the physical movement needed for speech and mobility so that they can function more safely and independently, improving quality of life.

The group will meet the third Thursday of the month, beginning March 16, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Spooner Health Rehab gym.

“PowerUP is a hands-on exercise program, not merely a support group,” says Barb Keefe, Rehabilitation Services Director. “People who come to this group will be able to learn from physical, occupational and speech therapists specially trained to work with people who have Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders.”

Spooner Health is located at 1280 Chandler Drive. For more information, contact Spooner Health Rehabilitation Services at 715-939-1745.
